I'll have mine shaken, with a touch of CAMP!
Nell's Noël Nonsense
December 17, 2016 10:21 PM PST
Just as the silly season reaches its frenetic peak, here's a festive - albeit amateur - podcast with a slew of unusual Yule time suspects singing a mix of old and new Christmas tracks including Courtney, Ru & Michelle, Eartha, Kristine W, Kylie, Dannii, Mariah, Britney, Dame Nicki...the list just goes on.
Bring a little bit of Nell into your home this Christmas.
Merry Christmas - have a safe and happy time.

I'd recently heard some whisperings that the TRUE Nell was MIA; well, rest assured she's reverted to type with this CLASSIC Nell podcast, dishing up some fab new tracks, mashed with a smattering of some tracks given new life in 2K16.
And just for good measure, I even snuck in a great mix of this year's Spanish song for Eurovision.
So as usual, if there are any complaints, see the bf; as hell! you'll be well aware of the caring response you'll get from me.
This one's for you, Rob

The wait is now over: Nell'ee Peak(in) Hour Vol2 (Almost There) is now uploaded and ready to be downloaded for your aural pleasure. With a track list featuring Beyoncé, Ru Paul, Cher, Abba, Little Mix - and a double dose of Eurovision - this is certainly one CAMP peak hour!
Feel It (Original Mix)

Looking for a little something Eurovision to get you in the mood for the 2016 final (or to kick on after the final)?
Well, just in the nick of time: Nellee's Euroclub 2016 podcast-mixed-tape hybrid.
As we can't be at Euroclub this year, the bf and I have brought you a selection of tracks we'd typically hear on the Euroclub dance floor(or would like to hear) after the final.
Admittedly, this mix is a little rough around a few edges (well, a little rougher than normal!), but hey, excuse those edges and just kick back and enjoy the fab Eurovision sound.
NxMardi Gras 2016
February 28, 2016 11:24 PM PST
Here's this year's Mardi Gras edition.
With Deborah Cox performing and Tracy Young spinning, I naturally had to include at least one of their tracks on this podcast. And of course with Her Madgesty's imminent tour just weeks away, I even managed to sneak in a new remix of one of her classics.
See you 3rd pillar from the left under the mirror ball.
Happy and safe Mardi Gras.
Candidate For Love (Joey Negro Feelin' Love Dub)

Another collaboration with the bf, this podcast is a collection of songs ranging from camp to just downright gay! Some are new, some old, some are remixes of old trax...and then there's the odd closet track that we've resurected for your aural pleasure (and which, maybe or maybe not, ought to have remained hidden away!)
This is my last podcast for 2015, and apparently, it'd be remiss of me not to include at least one Christmas track. Well I should be so lucky, coz as in the nick of time, along came Kylie and Dannii with their yule-time disco ditty: a perfect opener for Nell'ee Maydit's Gaytime.
See you in 2016!
(ps Geoff and Jase, at a little under 2 hours, this is perfect for your runs! Sorry Colleen)
100 Degrees (7th Heaven Radio Edit)

"Back in the day", some DJs would design their sets around the time of the night or morning they played. My favourite has always been "morning music": music that was still up and dancey, yet "pretty" and less intense than peak hour. When I think of morning music, I recall some memorable moments and sets by the great Lexie Bradfield @ Dayshift and the wonderful US DJ, Warren Gluck(some of you may recall his Mardi Gras sets in 1997, 1998 and 1999).
This Sunrise podcast is my fourth "morning" music podcast and has some great remixes of songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s, as well as a bit of a mashup of my fave track this year. I hope you'll enjoy Sunrise: Right Here Right Now
Travesty (Robbie Leslie Mix)
September 12, 2015 07:16 PM PDT
This one's a little departure from my usual podcasts, a more housey mix in a very similar vein - although more up tempo and perhaps a little less camp - than my I Remember House mix of a year ago. David Morales has been a big influence on this one.
There Must Be Love (Disco Juice Piano Intro Mix)

My first podcast since March's MG15 has some great dance tracks, featuring Madonna, Kylie, Sia and a couple of Eurovision winners; this podcast blends what some might describe as, tracks trending to the more "serious" with a couple of unashamedly camp Europop numbers thrown in "to keep it real"! Lol
It's great to see Giorgio Moroder and Josh Harris back, each of whom produced a couple of the tracks on this podcast.
BUTCH warning: this podcast contains one of my all-time top 10 gayest ever (like: EVER) tracks. In Swedish the track is called "Mot Mig I Gamla Stan" - once you've heard it, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about!
Hopefully you will get the same kick as me from this podcast.
btw Happy birthdays Queens!
Ghosttown (Offer Nissim Drama Mix)
March 06, 2015 03:08 AM PST
So it's come to that time of the gay calendar, and here is my annual Mardi Gras offering (although just the one podcast this year!)
A camp collaboration with my partner in crime, in life, in everything: you'll hear his influence everywhere throughout the set.
This Party podcast includes trax from this year's MG performers, Betty Who Nick Jonas and Andy Bell (Erasure).
Happy Mardi Gras...Party safe and see you under the mirror ball!
All Of You (The Love Club Mix)
Nell (as she's generally known to her friends, but also bitch, trashy whore...) graduated from ballet school to night club. With music having always been a part of her life, it's no surprise that she ended up with a set of decks and a few CDs. Being the quiet, stay-at-home kinda gal, she generally plays around the home and the occasional house party. While she is more fondly known amongst her friends for her choice of camp toons, she's also quite partial to a dirty, grinding beat. She has been fortunate enough to, on occasion, spin some discs publicly, including at the Midnight Shift, slide, RISING! and Trashy Events "Halloween Whores" (how apt!). The highlights of her very short public career was playing the Taj Mahal Room at Toybox (March 09) and Drag! at the Sydney Opera House (July 09).
